How do LeafGuard Gutters Work?
The Science Behind Liquid Adhesion
LeafGuard works on a scientific principle known as liquid adhesion. Put simply, liquids, like water, cling to the surfaces they travel across, especially if that surface is curved or round. This is what makes the LeafGuard system work. Rainwater travels along the curved hood into the gutter. Leaves, pine needles and other debris are solid and do not cling to the surfaces they travel across, so they roll right off the gutter system, keeping your gutters free of debris and clogs.
The LeafGuard Seamless One-Piece Design
The gutter is roll-formed from one continuous piece of aluminum. We bring our factory on wheels to your home to form the LeafGuard gutter system on site. We cut it to custom lengths that fit your home. The single sheet of flat metal is formed into an extra wide gutter with a perfectly arched cover by our on-site machines with supervision of our factory trained employees. The cover is not an add-on, but part of the gutter itself. This is what makes the LeafGuard gutters unique. Also, the aluminum we use is 20% thicker than the industry standard for gutters. Plus with our ScratchGuard paint finish, you don’t have to worry about the look of your gutter, they won’t crack, chip or peel. Our ScratchGuard finish comes with a warranty for the life of your gutter.
